New Caleb video uses fearmongering on children
by Jonathan Drake incheck it out.
literally the message is if you don't pay attention at the meetings you could die.
how insane, i feel like this must wake some people up..

Yes, it's so life-saving for children to carefully listen and draw appropriate pictures when the meeting covers subjects like circumcision and mass murder. -

I Thought we had Friends!
by Kelley959 ini am a life long jw, but this issue i'm going through has taken the cake.. i am in a job situation that is not good.
and we were promised to us in our old hall that we would have a roof over our head for us an our animals.
so i gave notice on thursday then went to call by so-called jw friends and they backed out and claimed he now couldn't let us move in and broke the deal.

WT promised that my grandparents would never grow old or die, but they did. While there are many good people who are JWs, they live in a culture that is huge on promises, but very short of delivery.
There are a lot of good "worldly" people. I hope you can surround yourself with some as you move on with your life.

Stepping off?
by dugout inan ex-bethelite (now an elder in a jersey congo usa) called me the other day and opened up to me about wanting to step down, mainly because he thought he was being a bit overwhelmed.
he mentioned that he spoke to the co about it and some of the socalled friends in the congo .
they put him on this guilt trip.

I myself was a elder for 13yrs before I stepped off. never been happier.
Sounds like a good answer to me. I feel the same way.
The fact that he's overwhelmed and is thinking about stepping down is very strong indication that he needs a break. The fact that others start a guilt-trip is totally lame and selfish. If someone is sick or tired, who would start insulting them as "motivation"?
Jehovah supposedly promised that there would be plenty of people and resources to step up as needed. Is Jehovah so resource-poor and unappreciative that he has to continue making big demands from one person?
And Jesus' ministry only lasted 3.5 years. That's all. If he set the perfect example, no elder or pioneer should need to serve for longer than Jesus, right?

Magazine Routes March KM
by Rattigan350 inimproving our skills in the ministrydeveloping a magazine route.
what does delivering magazines have to do with skills in a ministry?.
"many people who enjoy reading our magazines do not wish to study the bible with us.".

Yep, I think that KM farticle has been recycled every few years.
They really shouldn't be called magazines anymore. I think "minizines" or "tractazines" is more appropriate.

No... I wasn't mind controlled
by Zoos inthou shalt not stay at a hotel that is not on the rooming list.
work prevented me from attending our assigned district (regional) convention so i arranged my schedule to attend in a different city/weekend.
i know that's not a problem, brothers and sisters do it all the time.

To clear your conscience, you should book a room on the approved list this year, but not attend the WT crapvention.
Or you could attend and break some different rules, like:
- Save lots of extra seats, then argue with the attendants when they try to take them.
- Use more paper towels than you're supposed to.
- Walk around the stadium talking to anyone or nobody, during the session.
- And, of course, dress immodestly. Like for a dude, wear a short skirt that also shows lots of cleavage (as displayed by Benny Hill, below). And high heals that are an invitation to a fall and ensuing lawsuit.

Joseph and Potiphar's wife
by StarTrekAngel inwhat are the real reasons joseph refused to sleep with potiphar's wife?.
the watchtower and others teach that joseph refused to commit adultery.
specifically to the jws, we teach that joseph, somehow, knew that adultery was wrong, despite not having any specific rule or writing to teach him so.

My opinion:
I think the story is written to portray women as morally inferior, not able to control their desires and urges.
And, she's Egyptian. The OT stories were written to portray other countries and cultures as immoral and displeasing to the "true" god.
Put those two together, particularly in light of the fact that the Egyptian civilization gave women far more rights than the Mosaic Law did, and a fable like this presents the "moral" that Egyptians, particularly their women, are sexually immoral, liars, and completely wicked people.

Since there are no dates on this timeline, I think it's safe to assume that over-lapping generations are involved between each event.
The belief that Gog is some governments is pretty lame. Governments and the UN are already over-represented in lots of other beasts. With WT moving to an Internet-based religion, maybe Gog is actually a computer virus.

Two questions: 1) A few random verses from Ezekiel and Revelation to predict the future is it? 2) How did I ever believe this crap?

another 30 minute part on how to sing it?
After the trolly song on the WT broadcast, the congregation will roll a cart up on the platform to demonstrate how to sing.
